Although I am not very good at picking up the phone to call my family and friends, or even to make needed appointments, I do pick up the phone and phone a girlfriend when I sense she is overwhelmed. I also will shoot an email if that feels more right. With having 4 kiddos in tow almost all the time, dropping by for visits can add to the stress sometimes. However, if I am physically there with my friend there's nothing like a good ol' hug to relay my concern and support.

What a truly blessed idea to share chocolate and coffee with a friend in need. I am sure what she appreciated more than anything was your driving over to her home to SHARE it with her! Little notes and cards, emails and phone messages really can encourage someone, but the trip to your friends house just to share even 10 minutes with her is what really is appreciated. You're a very special person! We're all lucky to call you a friend.
